This tooling is intended for use with sustainers that have a hole diameter of 2.4mm or less, and creates a non-punctured crimp—meaning the metal is crimped securely without being pierced during the process.

This method of crimping allows the flame to self-extinguish when it reaches the top of the sustainer barrel—provided the sustainer is firmly glued to the bottom of the container, preventing liquid wax from flowing underneath. As a result, some wax will remain at the bottom of the candle, supporting safety and reducing the risk of overheating or container failure.
